GoodSearch

PACD Participates in GoodSearch

What if PACD earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can!

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search*, to the charities its users designate. GoodSearch works like any search engine, and Yahoo powers it.

Steps to Using GoodSearch to Benefit PACD:

1. Go to www.goodsearch.com.

GoodSearch screen shot

2. In the "who do you GoodSearch for" box, type Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts or PACD.

3. Click "Verify."

4. Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts - PACD (Harrisburg, PA) should appear in the box.

5. Use the box at the top of the screen to perform your web search. The money you earn for PACD will automatically be added to the PACD account.

Optional:

At www.goodsearch.com, Click on the "add GoodSearch to your IE, Firefox, or Mac toolbar" link. Follow the instructions to have a GoodSearch toolbar added to your browser.

Click on www.goodsearch.com today and start earning money for PACD!

Spread the word!

We hope you will use GoodSearch as your main search engine from now on and tell your friends, family and co-workers so they start using GoodSearch to support PACD’s mission of supporting, enhancing and promoting Pennsylvania’s Conservation Districts and their programs.

Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7,300 a year without anyone spending a dime! All funds generated will boost unrestricted income and therefore used for such activities as increased lobbying efforts, the PACD Capital Fund, the PACD Endowment Fund, etc.

* Searches to URL’s (i.e., search terms ending in .com, .org, .net, .edu) as well as searches to sites for which the URL is well known such as HotMail, ESPN, MySpace, Facebook, GMail, AOL, etc. will not count toward a non-profit’s total searches and revenue.
