Agriculture and the Environment: Achieving Balance Conference Explores Challenges and Solutions

Representatives from conservation districts and PACD attended the Agriculture and the Environment: Achieving Balance Conference held in Harrisburg June 2-3. The PA Chesapeake Bay Education Office, administered by PACD, helped to sponsor the event. For those who couldn't attend, summaries of the sessions are now online. Penn State and at the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture used the conference to develop relationships, exchange ideas, and bring into focus the challenges to and solutions for finding balance. They will be moving quickly to follow-up on recommendations and ideas that were presented during the conference. The first step is to distill and synthesize the volumes of information generated at the conference. Some summaries are already online at http://www.enri.psu.edu.
