Products and ServicesThe PACD Engineering Assistance Program, established in 2001, provides engineering assistance, on a regional basis, to conservation districts, watershed organizations, RC&Ds and other entities. Projects include agricultural best management practices, stream restoration and treatment of abandoned mine drainage. Since July 2001, the PACD Engineering Assistance Program has completed 416 individual projects for a total of $19.2 million worth of environmental improvement projects across Pennsylvania. Information about the program and application forms can be found on the menu to the left. The PACD is now involved with nutrient trading within the Chesapeake Bay basin. The Pennsylvania Handbook for Best Management Practices for Developing Areas, a tool created to assist developers, engineers, municipal officials, conservation district personnel and others involved with the planning, design, review and approval or building development projects, is available for sale from the PACD.
