The Chesapeake Bay Program partners include the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia; the District of Columbia; the Chesapeake Bay Commission, a tri-state legislative body; the Environmental Protection Agency, representing the federal government; and participating citizen advisory groups. The Chesapeake Bay Program\u2019s comprehensive website includes general information about the Chesapeake Bay, pollutants and restoration efforts, and how to get involved.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.epa.gov\/aboutepa\/about-chesapeake-bay-program-office\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">U.S. Environmental Protection Agency\u00a0Chesapeake Bay Program Office<\/a> The Chesapeake Bay Program Office supports the Chesapeake Bay Program, a unique regional partnership that has coordinated the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed since 1983.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dep.pa.gov\/Business\/Water\/Pennsylvania%E2%80%99s%20Chesapeake%20Bay%20Program%20Office\/WIP3\/Pages\/Phase-III-WIP-(Watershed-Implementation-Plans).aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pennsylvania Chesapeake Bay Program<\/a> The Pennsylvania Chesapeake Bay Program is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Fact sheets are available on this site pertaining to the Chesapeake Bay, wetlands, watersheds, and funding programs. Materials are centered around the issues of Pennsylvania\u2019s role in the Chesapeake Bay Program.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Links to educational resources from other agencies:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chesbay.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chesapeake Bay Commission<\/a> The Chesapeake Bay Commission is a tri-state legislative commission which advises the General Assemblies of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania in cooperatively managing the Chesapeake Bay. The Chesapeake Bay Commission has several legislative reports and studies available on its website including <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chesbay.us\/Publications\/cost%20effective.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cost-Effective Strategies For the Bay, 6 Smart Investments for Nutrient and Sediment Reduction<\/a>.<\/em><\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/chesapeakebay.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration\u2019s Chesapeake Bay Office<\/a> The NOAA Chesapeake Bay B-WET Program provides hands-on watershed education to students and teachers to foster stewardship of the Chesapeake Bay. NOAA B-WET supports the commitment of the Chesapeake Bay Program \u2013 a partnership for watershed restoration \u2013 to provide every student in the watershed with a meaningful watershed educational experience before graduation from high school.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paagombudsman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PA Agricultural Ombudsman Program<\/a> The Ombudsman are knowledgeable on statewide Nutrient Management Act regulations, federal CAFO regulations, and best management practices on farms.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baybackpack.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bay Backpack<\/a> This online resource from the <a href=\"https:\/\/chesapeakebay.noaa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration<\/a> &amp; the Chesapeake Bay Program is for teachers and environmental educators to engage students in hands-on learning about the Chesapeake Bay and its local waterways.\u00a0 Bay Backpack also houses resources on pollution, climate change, forests, farming, development and many other environmental topics.\u00a0 Bay Backpack provides educators with the necessary resources to give their students a Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE), which are extensive projects that allow students to gain a deep understanding of environmental issues in the Chesapeake Bay and its local streams and rivers.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pcee.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PA Center for Environmental Education<\/a> PAEE offers thousands of resources on environmental education topics. Resources include\u00a0Educational Resources, Research\/Background Info, Products, and Service Providers.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/locations\/chesapeakebaywatershed\/chesapeake-gateways.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chesapeake Bay Gateways<\/a>\u00a0The Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network connects you with the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers through more than 160 exceptional parks, wildlife refuges, museums, sailing ships, historic communities, trails and more. Gateways are the special places where you can experience the authentic Chesapeake.\u00a0This gateway included basic information about the Chesapeake Bay, history, and exploring the Bay.<\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/panotill.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pennsylvania No-till Alliance<\/a> The No-till Alliance provides education on no-till, cover crops, and soil health.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Chesapeake Bay Lesson Plans<\/p>\r\n<p><em>Education is key to improving and protecting the Chesapeake Bay.
