Over 180 virtual and in-person attendees participated in sessions on dealing with difficult people, managing stress, and public opinions on conservation work, as well as breakout sessions on working with rural landowners, cybersecurity, grant management, and outreach challenges.<\/p>\n<p>The conference also included recognition for training achievement in Clean Water Academy (see the article below) and the 2nd Annual Conservation District Video Awards.<\/p>\n<p>The videos awarded are:<\/p>\n<p>1st place high score and winner of the General Public category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fKzEDOWKI7k\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NatureWorks Park Riparian Buffer<\/a> \u2013 Blair County Conservation District<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2nd place high score and winner of the Landowner\/Homeowner category:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dp-iw2t8t0s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Homeowners Guide to Stormwater \u2013 Introduction: 3 Steps to Managing Stormwater<\/a> \u2013 Westmoreland Conservation District<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>K-12 Educational Category winner:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/X-arTMzVM6Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">From Seed to Market<\/a> \u2013 Wayne County Conservation District<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3rd place overall runner-up:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pcNywEP_VeE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ICCD: Get to Know Us<\/a> \u2013 Indiana County Conservation District<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All finalist entries are posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paleadership.org\/2021-conservation-district-video-award-winners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Building for Tomorrow website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"http:\/\/pacd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PAleadership_FinalLogo-002-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pacd.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/PAleadership_FinalLogo-002-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-21224\" width=\"-90\" height=\"-59\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Financial and other support for the Building for Tomorrow Leadership Development Program is provided through a grant from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission.
