Agricultural Conservation Technical Training Application

Basic “Boot Camp” Session

Sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, PA Department of  Agriculture/State Conservation Commission, The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds and the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts, Inc.

Appropriate for newly hired Agricultural Conservation Technicians, (ACT), new NRCS field staff, new Nutrient Management Technicians, new Chesapeake Bay Technicians, new Watershed Specialists, and others with less than 1 year of  professional experience, or less than 3 years experience if employee did not attend a previously held Level I ACT training.


Participant registration fees are waived.  Funding is provided through a Special Leadership Development Project Grant, sponsored by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, PA Department of  Agriculture/State Conservation Commission and The Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds.

All participants may take advantage of the room block rate, but only conservation district staff will be reimbursed by PACD for their overnights.

Rate: $59.95 (includes tax) for 2 queen beds or 1 king  (single or double occupancy). You must ask for the “PACD Room Block” when making your reservation. The room block expires on April 2.

PACD will reimburse the conservation district (up to $65/person/day) for the lodging of those whose office is more than 45 miles away from Fort Indiantown Gap.

The training itself will still be held at the Community Club at Fort Indiantown Gap.

Morning break, lunch, and afternoon break will be provided. Breakfast and dinner will not be provided. A continental breakfast is available at the Days Inn from 6-10am which includes hot waffles, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, cereal, danish, tea, coffee, and juice.
