$100,000 Available for CREP Mini-Grants!

PACD is now accepting mini-grant applications for up to $3,000 to implement educational and outreach activities that support and extend the work of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP). Projects should focus on CREP enrollment, re-enrollment, and/or CREP maintenance.

Applications are due February 24, 2023.

Project examples:

  • Walkabouts/field days
  • Farmer and landowner workshops
  • Riparian buffer workshops
  • Workshop series with several topics
  • Developing educational materials like brochures, flyers, fact sheets, or even billboards
  • Hiring interns to provide CREP outreach

Eight Conservation Districts Receive Funding for CREP Education Projects

Pennsylvania’s conservation districts were awarded over $16,500 to implement educational and outreach activities that support and extend the work of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP). Projects include field days, workshops, and one-on-one visits.

Counties awarded funding include:

Adams – $3,000
Clarion – $2,600
Jefferson – $1,400
Potter – $1,400
Snyder – $3,000
Tioga – $2,050
Union – $1,500
Washington – $1,880

Register Today: 2022 CREP Partner Training

As part of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) Outreach Program Office, the Pennsylvania Association of Conservation Districts and CREP Program Partners will offer a virtual two-day CREP Partner Training to all partner staff involved in the program, including conservation district staff. Registration is free and required.

Ten CREP Projects Conducted by Conservation Districts

CREP Mini-Grant Application Deadline Extended!

PACD is accepting mini-grant applications up to $3,000 to implement educational and outreach activities that support and extend the work of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP). Projects should focus on CREP enrollment, re-enrollment, CREP maintenance, or riparian buffers.

Districts are encouraged to work with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Pheasants Forever, PA Game Commission, Stroud Water Research Center, Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, PA Department of Environmental Protection, and other CREP partners to set up workshops and other projects!

PACD awarded $17,540 to conservation districts for projects in eight counties for the 2021-22 Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) Mini-Grants.
