Intro to Conservation Planning

Intro to Conservation Planning is an introductory course for employees who are interested in writing conservation plans and becoming an NRCS Certified Conservation Planner. Eligible organizations include NRCS, State Conservation Commission, conservation districts, farmland preservation entities, and non-profits. Space is limited.

Class Size & Priority:

Class size is limited to 30. Priority will be given to NRCS and conservation district employees. 

Pre-requisite:

The online pre-requisite, NRCS Conservation Planning Online Modules 1 – 5, is required. If you are interested in taking this training, please begin the process of getting an AgLearn account NOW! Training Schedule:

  • The free training will consist of both classroom and field training. 
  • Lunch will be provided.
  • Hotel overnight room block information will be provided to those accepted into the course.
  • The training is tentatively scheduled for 9am-4pm the first day, 8am-4pm the second day, and 8am-3pm the third day.
  • This training is sponsored by NRCS, SCC, and PACD.
